Mud Australia's products are handmade in their Sydney studio. Using porcelain clay sourced directly from Limoges, France. The pigment is tinted to the body at slip stage to provide color depth. Clear glaze is applied to the interior of each piece leaving the exterior with a vitrified stone-like surface. Slight imperfections in size, glaze, and texture reflect the artisanal nature of this dinnerware and is expected.
General information and care instructionsporcelain is food safe and can, with some care, be used in the oven, microwave and dishwasher. Sudden changes in temperature (e.g. from freezer to oven) are likely to cause thermal shock, which will damage your porcelain. Always place very hot items onto either wood or cloth. To avoid glaze scratches, ideally your Mud porcelain will be stored in plate racks or with linen/felt between each item.
