Join us for an exciting new workshop with local collage artist Lisa Ryan. Lisa will guide participants through the history of collage art, sharing her passion for this approachable medium and the inspiration behind her work. She'll provide a variety of materials for exploration and creation while encouraging guests to bring their own meaningful scraps, tear-outs, memorabilia, or magazines.

During the session, Lisa will teach techniques and strategies for creating collages, helping guests craft at least one draft and a completed piece to take home. Viewing collage as a form of visual poetry, she aims to inspire creativity and a personal connection to the art.

About the instructor:

Charlottesville-based Lisa Ryan has collaborated with local arts entities like The Bridge PAI, The Garage, Second Street Gallery, and Studio IX.

Clients of her illustration and collage art included the likes of Calvin Klein, Gucci, ELLE, Esquire, Vogue, and YouTube.
